Dr. John Burton is Professor of Instructional Design and Technology, Director of the Center for Instructional Technology Solutions in Industry and Education, and Associate Director for Educational Research and Outreach for the School of Education. Dr. Burton has more than 30 years of experience in academia, course development, and program evaluation.

Dr. Katherine Cennamo, Professor of Instructional Design and Technology, has over 20 years of experience in the design and development of instructional materials for corporate, non-profit, and academic organizations. Her teaching and research focuses on the application of learning theories to the design of technology-based learning materials, video-based instruction, and the preparation of instructional designers.

Dr. Barbara Lockee, Professor of Instructional Design and Technology, specializes in distance and distributed learning. She teaches courses in training development, distance education, and instructional design for distance delivery.

Dr. Kerry Redican is Professor of Health Promotion and Departmental Unit Chair for Learning Sciences and Technologies in the School of Education.  He has been a faculty member at Virginia Tech for 26 years.  Dr. Redican's expertise is in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health-related primary prevention programs in communities,  including public schools.  Dr. Redican has also been extensively involved in delivering a virtual graduate program in health promotion and a doctoral program in collaboration with the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
